Review:
In the context of studies on depressed areas in Spain, carried out in the I.N.I.A. 2051 of the National Research Program in Agricultural Economics and Sociology, quantitative analyzes were carried out on the spatial location of the depressed regions in various Spanish regions. A summary of the different results obtained has been published in INIA (1982-a), having subsequently considered of interest the dissemination, in greater detail, of the analysis carried out for each of the regions. This document therefore contains, in the case of Andalusia, detailed information on the inputs and outputs of said analysis, commenting on the significant aspects of each of the most depressed regions and their suitability to be considered within the scope of the EEC directive 268/75, referring to the granting of various types of aid to agricultural holdings and farmers in "mountain areas and other disadvantaged areas", the study of the possibilities of applying this guideline to Spanish areas in socio-economic depression is the objective principal of the mentioned INIA Project.
