A little more than a decade ago than the current Agricultural Research Service under the Ministry of Agriculture and Commerce of the Junta de Extremadura, continuator of what was the National Institute of Agricultural Research aimed especially at the study of pastures, fodder crops and animal production.
Programs of study in these directions, already motivated in 1973 the establishment of a General Analytical Unit to provide analytical data to investigations in the various fields. Works carried out during 1987.
