Review:
This publication corresponds to the theoretical course "Experimental and Instrumental Techniques for the Analysis in Soil Science" held at the National Research Institute for Agriculture and Food Technology (INIA, Madrid), which is a module within the training schedule "Support Experimental Techniques to Research (R & D + i) which is framed within the program of joint Public Research, funded by the National Institute of Public Administration (INAP), thanks to the General Committee for Continuing Education. It was conducted in October 2009 at INIA headquarters, under the direction of Dr. Ingrid Walter and is for staff working in the field of research in the various public research institutions. The course is planned so as to impart a set of theoretical and practical classes that address major issues of soil science. It is aimed to students to acquire basic knowledge of the main physical, chemical and biological soil properties, as well as the methodology used to determine them. This hope will help raise the knowledge of the discipline and helps to interpret the analysis as a diagnostic tool to determine soil fertility.
