Since 1962, date of publication of the first edition of this Dictionary, to date, Genetics has undergone a remarkable advance, accompanied by the corresponding increase in terminology. In this second edition of our Genetics Dictionary we have tried to collect the new terminology, while introducing some corrections. The multilingual Dictionary has also been expanded in the sense of giving the versions of the noun-adjective sets most frequently used. Some of the corrections that we suggested in the first edition for the Dictionary of the Royal Spanish Academy have been accepted in the new edition of the Dictionary of said Royal Academy.
