Review:

The first chapter of this work is dedicated to centering the scope of the present work through general studies on botany and the general and Spanish geography of Scots pine. The lines chosen to undertake it, the field work carried out, the analytical methods that were used and the desk studies before and after them are detailed below. The third and fourth chapters analyze the climatology and the understory of the autochthonous stands of the Spanish Scots pine. Through the first, one is achieved. subdivision of the Spanish natural regions populated by this species. The study of the undergrowth confirms the analogies and differences of the aforementioned subregions and allows us to begin an outline of the phycsociology of the sampled stands.
Next, and for each of the defined natural regions, the geological, climatic and edaphic characteristics are studied and all of them are related to the quality classes of the masses they support.
