The extreme arid conditions of the drylands of the Mediterranean coast and the peculiar edapho-climatic characteristics have not allowed the general adaptation of any grass in the pastureland, which is why it was necessary to search for quality and high-energy grasses capable of establishing and persisting in the semi-arid conditions of the Mediterranean strip. The Coastcross-1 Bermudagrass appears to meet the requirements for this. Works carried out during the year 1979.
