It is urgent to solve the problem that the forage availability of our country is sufficient to make it possible to adequately feed a certain quality livestock. It is undoubtedly one of the most important national companies that agriculture and technology are currently facing. The characteristics of the climate and the soil of a large part of the Spanish territory make it necessary when addressing these issues, to pay special attention to the use of pastures and forage crops capable of acceptably thriving in difficult drylands.
