Review:

A succinct theoretical exposition is made of the solid-liquid-air interfacial phenomena and of the physico-chemical phenomena of the liquid-paper interface. An exposition of the apparatus, operative technique and norms for the measurement of the contact angle is given as a means, not only to determine the wetting of the paper in relation to the processes of coating, waterproofing, gluing and others, but by means of the three types of experience, call the specialist's attention to the possibilities that this technique offers.
