In some Spanish provinces, mainly those of Albacete, Guadalajara and Cuenca, it has been usual to use the leaves of sumac, Rhus Coraria.L., To obtain tanning extracts. But given the competition to which this market is currently subjected by other tanning agents of various origins, the demand for sheet was constantly decreasing.
