Review:

This is not the first time that the problem of the implantation of the cellulosic pulp industry in Spain has been raised. Conscientious studies, which were carried out by those who had concrete data and ample evidence on this matter, proved the impossibility of addressing it, at least with a considerable amplitude of capacity that was proportionate to national consumption. But it is that it was focused exclusively with the sole purpose of supplying the national paper industry. Today the generalization of the applications of the chemical pulp of wood or cellulose to the industries of the artificial plastic masses is evident.
