The work that is now edited by the Forestry Research and Experiences Institute clearly highlights the unique work carried out by Engineer D. Manuel Prats in the organization, which is not easy, of the Seed Service. A constant and careful personal action has allowed him, in unfavorable circumstances, to meet the growing demand for the seeds required for reforestation work in Spain. The volume reached by consumption, which is deduced with the examination of the corresponding states, distributed in multiple items and for whose satisfaction it is struggled with great difficulties, both with respect to production as in relation to transport, packaging, etc., supposes many hours of assiduous work, at the same time ungrateful and dark.
