Review:

Resistance to Broomrape (O. crenata Forsk) in common vetch (V. sativa L.) has been studied. We characterized the plant reaction to the parasite with the conclusion that resistance resulted on a pronounced lower number of broomrape per plant. There were not differences between susceptible and resistant lines in the growth rate and the time taken to make attachments.
