The works constitute this Doctoral Thesis deal with the energetic metabolism of growing rabbits; their objectives were the following ones: 1. To determinate the energetic unit to use in defining the rabbits needs ant to evaluate the foodstuffs. 2. To estimate the maintenance requirements and the efficiency of utilization of metabolizable energy (ME), as well as the effect of the chemical composition of feeds on both parameters. 3. To lay the foundations of an easy prediction systems of the energetic value of feeds.
