Review:

Both in Spain and in the EEC two lines of action in agrarian policy can be distinguished; a) structural policy and b) short-term policy.
Long-term policy, basically linked to structures, has been developed mainly independently in each member state of the EEC. In Spain, the structural policy has been channeled, fundamentally, through legislation referring to land consolidation, colonization and improvable pretenses, although the established measures have not received the necessary attention.
